Why we developed HPD

There are a lot of differing views of how NLP has developed since its infancy in the 1970s, so much so that the co-authors and creators have even filed legal actions against each other.

We at the HPC have assimilated all the differing views, and added our own experience from other fields of training and development, to form Human Performance Design.

Human Performance Design is the application of the range of disciplines employed by HPC to collect information, identify customers’ needs, and then customise and implement solutions to enhance performance.

The basic premise is that an individual or team which is in a strong, relaxed, confident, positive, resourceful state and – provided with a powerful set of tools – is going to:

  • Be friendly and natural to colleagues and clients
  • Make more resourceful decisions
  • Feel more motivated
  • Take more responsibility for their own performance
  • Be inspired to continue on going professional (and personal) development
