About us

Iain Thomson

Iain Thomson trained at St Anne’s Psychiatric Hospital, London in Ericksonian Hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming in 1989 and set up The Human Performance Clinic a year later.

He has been in practice for 17 years.

Although predominantly a therapist, he also specialises in sports psychology.

He has worked with a premier league football club, the Scottish Football Association, various National Squads, elite athletes, and is a tutor with the National Coaching Centre.

Iain is an NLP Master Practitioner and has an advanced Diploma from British Hypnosis Research.


Jim McDonald

Jim McDonald trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, has 20 years experience in social work and counselling and 15 years in practising hypnotherapy and NLP.


Lorna Henderson

Lorna Henderson trained in Hypnosis and NLP in New York and London. She spent many years training in method acting and performing in New York. Her special interest is working with performers of all kinds.

She is an NLP Master Practitioner and has been in private practice for 10 years.


All three have trained with amongst others, Richard Bandler, co-developer of NLP and Paul McKenna.

They have taught self-hypnosis to members of the medical profession and the public at various venues including the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley, Southern General and Victoria Infirmaries in Glasgow, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Herriot-Watt, UMIST (Manchester), Glasgow Caledonian and Strathclyde Universities.

One-to-one clinics are held in Glasgow and Paisley, courses are run nationally.

We are members of various governing bodies.
